Our Instructional Vision
Instructional Vision: All teachers will consistently engage in collaboration opportunities to further our ability to differentiate instruction using student data to design and create culturally sustaining cross-curricular thematic units that engage students in multiple modalities for learning.
We believe in Shared Leadership...Our instructional vision came from a process of co-creation. We first determined what our vision for student experience. This was a list of emotions and feelings that we wanted students to have during a typical day at Kirtland Elementary. This included feelings like, happy, proud, affirmed, and validated culturally and linguistically.
From there, we talked about our vision for student learning and how we would incorporate and facilitate happy and proud moments into the instructional day. This process created our instructional vision and solidified how, we as a team, have agreed to deliver instruction.
